UB's Jaret Patterson named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award

AMHERST, NY (WKBW) — University at Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson is having a phenomenal junior season and the college football world continues to take notice. Patterson has been named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award, given to the nation's top running back.

Through UB's first four games, Patterson has 920 rushing yards which boasts an average of 230 yards a game - good enough to lead the nation. He also has 16 rushing touchdowns, which is good for third among all running backs.

Najee Harris - Alabama
Mo Ibrahim - Minnesota
Jermar Jefferson - Oregon State
Sincere McCormick - UTSA
Isaiah Spiller - Texas A&M
Javonte Williams - North Carolina
Kyren Williams - Notre Dame

Three finalists will be named on Monday, December 21st with the winner announced on Thursday, January 7th.
