BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Two schools have teamed up to hold a unique event for all levels of basketball.
On Thursday, St. Mary's School for the Deaf and the Rochester School for the Deaf took part in the I-90 Classic. It's an all-day event that lets two deaf or hard of hearing schools play against each other in an annual competition.
The day started out with the elementary school co-ed teams playing at 2 p.m. The high school girls and boys teams followed.
As far as both Athletic Directors know, this is the only event of its kind in New York State and possibly the country.
