Monsignor Martin girls basketball championship games set

The Monsignor Martin girls championship games are set.

The Class A and Class B semifinals were held Sunday afternoon and evening at Villa Maria College with the winner earning a spot in those championship games.

In the first Class A semifinal game, top seed Cardinal O'Hara beat 4th seed St. Mary's 60-35 and will look to win their 5th straight Monsignor Martin title. The Hawks were led by Kiara Johnson with 18 points and Cierra Harrison with 17 points.

They'll be playing 2nd seed Sacred Heart who beat 3rd seed Mount St. Mary 60-49 in the 2nd semifinal game. The Sharks were led by Micaela Ryan who had 21 points, 11 rebounds and two steals.

In the first Class B semifinal game, top seed Nardin had no problem advancing after a 52-26 win over 4th seed Buffalo Seminary. The Gators were led by Ainsley Boras with 21 points.

They'll be playing 2nd seed Park School of Buffalo who beat 3rd seed Christian Central Academy 42-34 in the 2nd semifinal game.

The finals are set for Friday, March 2nd at Villa Maria College. The Class B game will be played at 6pm and will be followed by the Class B game 7:45pm.
