SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Since fans are not allowed to attend high school sports games, one Western New York school district came up with a creative way for fans to show their support.
Salamanca City Schools allowed parents, teachers, and members of the community to purchase 20 inch by 30 inch cutouts to be featured at home games for winter sports.
The school district says it has approximately 85 fan cutouts across basketball and bowling.
JRSC Digital in Jamestown was able to print out the cutouts on a short notice.
School officials say the athletes appreciate having fan support from a safe distance.
