MELBOURNE, Australia (WKBW) — Jessica Pegula's run at the Australian Open continued on Sunday night with quite possibly the biggest win of her career. Pegula knocked off fifth seed Elina Svitolina on Sunday night.
The upset victory came in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
Pegula is set to take on No. 22 Jennifer Brady, in what will be an all-American quarterfinal match. A time for the match has yet to be determined.
Pegula is the daughter of Bills and Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula. This is the furthest she's ever advanced in a Grand Slam.
