The Sabres have signed free agent winger Kyle Okposo to a 7-year contract worth $42 million dollars, the Sabres announced on Friday.
One of the "big fish" free agents, Okposo becomes a top-line winger for the Sabres and will play on the right side of either Ryan O'Reilly or Jack Eichel.
The 28-year-old winger has tallied 20 or more goals in two of the past three seasons. He scored 27 during the 2013-2014 campaign and had 22 this past season for the Islanders.
He only totaled 18 goals during the 2014-2015 season, but played in just 60 games with New York.
He also eclipsed the 20-goal mark during the 2011-2012 season.
