BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Sabres don't start their preseason schedule for another few weeks but on Thursday, they gave fans a preview of what's to come.
The Sabres posted the following message to their twitter page, announcing that the team will go back to royal blue during the 2020-2021 season. Fans said they were excited about the nostalgic look.
"I'm not a huge fan of the dark jerseys anyway, there's too many teams with that color, so I really like it going back to the classics roots," said Sabres fan Luke Szudzik.
This year, they're going gold and will reveal their 50th anniversary uniform Friday at 10 a.m.
