BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Dylan Larkin scored in overtime, lifting the United States to a 3-2 win against Finland in the preliminary round of the IIHF World Hockey Championships in Slovakia.

Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel assisted on the first two goals scored by Team USA, giving him four assists in three games. New York Rangers defenseman Brady Skjei opened the scoring for the Americans early in the first period. Calgary Flames' forward Johnny Gaudreau also scored for Team USA, briefly giving the Americans a 2-0 lead.
Finland battled back, scoring two goals to tie the game until it was eventually settled in overtime.
