MIAMI (WKBW) — For the first time since 2008, the New England Patriots will not appear in the playoffs.
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins beat the New England Patriots 22 to 12, mathematically eliminating them from the postseason.
On Saturday, the Buffalo Bills became AFC East Champions for the first time since 1995, and also ended a run of 11 straight AFC East Championships for the Patriots.
The Patriots dropped to 6-8 on the season ahead of their match up against the Bills in Foxborough on Monday Night Football next week.
The Patriots also missed the playoffs when the Bills last won the AFC East in 1995.
