The WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been extended for:

WNY until Monday at 11:00 am
and
PA until Monday at 1:00pm

Folks are going to want a break, after the wintry mix of a mess that we had on Sunday -with more icing from sleet and freezing rain on Sunday night-. Monday is not that day. The low pressure system that brought in the wintry mess is moving out. On the back side of that rain/snow/ice that will turn into snow. We will see accumulations of 3-5 inches as we head further inland with 6 inches in the most localized spots within the Niagara Frontier and areas that border the eastern edge of our region. Tuesday as quiet and calm. Wednesday will bring some lake snow. Thursday and Friday are breezy and Saturday is cold! Sunday sees a rebound in our temps.
