BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A bubble of High pressure cresting over Western New York has supplied us with some spectacular weather as of late. As we head into the new week, there are some changes to discuss, as that area of High pressure moves east. In its wake, a broad area of Low pressure in the upper atmosphere located just to our south will help to promote a somewhat unsettled setup with afternoon instability generating a few pop-up showers. The mechanisms driving the development of these pop-up showers are weak, and therefore, won't interrupt your outdoor plans for any lengthy period of time. That broad upper air low will work its way toward the coast making way for another area of High pressure to build into the region in time for the end of the week and the beginning of the weekend. As a result, we can expect a return to more sun and increasing warmth at that time.
