BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Our St. Patrick's Day weekend in Buffalo brought much bluster, some lake snow, and plenty of chill. As we look ahead to the new week, the trend is our friend, at least as far as temperatures are concerned. Spring begins Monday at 5:24 p.m. and with the arrival of Spring comes a fair amount of sunshine. That said, despite the sun, it will still be windy with wind gusts to 40 mph likely especially along the Lake Erie shoreline. Temperatures will climb into the 40s away from Lake Erie points east of Buffalo. Clouds will gather ahead of our next system later Monday night and will stick around into Tuesday. Temperatures will moderate some but we will lose the bright sun. The middle of the week offers up a nice warm up, but with that, will come some rain showers. We'll be watching two areas of Low pressure that may target the region with rain...AND...the potential for a mixed bag of precipitation heading into the weekend.
