Frost ADVISORY for McKean & Potter counties 2am-9am Thursday. Temps will drop into the mid 30s overnight. Take action to protect sensitive outdoor plants and vegetation from the cold.

Chilly lows near 40 under partly cloudy skies. WNY becomes mostly sunny Thursday with cool highs in the mid 50s. Milder weather finishes off the workweek on Friday with sunshine and temperatures in the mid 60s.

HURRICANE MILTON:
Hurricane Milton made landfall at 8:30pm on October 9th near Siesta Key. Maximum sustained winds at landfall are estimated at 120mph.

  • Reports of 8-12" of rain fell in Tampa and Flash Flooding was occurring.
  • Wednesday's tornado outbreak in Florida was the 2nd highest number on record with 126 tornado warnings. 1st was an outbreak in Alabama in 2011 with 136 warnings
  • Significant storm surge and flooding along the Florida Gulf. Most significant occurred south of the eye land fall of Siesta Key.
  • Widespread power outages. Over a million neighbors are without power.
