Enjoy the colors while they last Ellicottville! Fall comes around only once a year.
Fall foliage is at its peak in the hills of Cattaraugus County. The leaves aren't as vibrant as in years past. This has to do with the warm overnight lows we have had over the past month.
The closer you are to Lake Erie, the greener the leafs are. Lake Erie keeps the shorelines warm. In order for the leaves to change color, you need cool temperatures. That is why areas inland are peaking.
As always, share your fall pictures with us. We're on Facebook and Twitter.
