BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Humidity starts to rise overnight with temperatures remaining in the mid-40s. A few morning showers and even some isolated t-storms possible. A break in the rain and cloud cover will allow temperatures to soar into the 70s and even near 80 away from the lake *if the sun remains out long enough, this would also aid in the development of strong to severe thunderstorms later in the afternoon and evening across WNY. *If clouds stick around and if rain showers and even t-storms linger from late morning into the afternoon, strong to severe storms would be limited. Watching what happens during the morning into the afternoon upstream (to our west) will help to forecast what happens in WNY later in the day. Stick with us as we update the forecast through this event. With any storms that turn severe, the main threat will be damaging winds, large hail, and there is a low 5% chance of an isolated tornado.
